As a hand-crafted item, while every batch of soap is born of the same recipe, each individual bar is unique, displaying designs that vary slightly from others made in the same batch. So, while the bar you received may not be an exact replica of the one displayed, please be assured that the bar of soap you received is from the same batch and has a design that closely resembles that which is depicted.

Many factors affect the longevity of soap such as: frequency of use, personal hygiene preferences, and storage/care of the soap itself. That being said, one bar properly cared for, will generally be sufficient as daily use for a single person to use for about 3-4 weeks.

Here are our tips to get the most life from your bar of soap! -Prior to opening: Store your un-opened soap in a cool, dry place. -Keep it dry: Place your handmade soap on a draining soap dish/tray between uses. -Use your hands: Avoid rubbing your soap directly onto application aids, such as a washcloth, loofah, or pouf as these will rapidly erode the bar through friction. If you desire to use these items, we recommend working the lather into your hand and then simply transfer the lather to your application aid.

All of our tallow soaps are designed for safe use to cleanse all areas of skin. Please avoid direct contact with eyes or other sensitive tissues. Only fragrances that are safe for skin contact are selected for our recipes. Also, all mica colorants used are cosmetic grade, which means they are even safe to use in applications such as make-up. Always check the label for a complete list of ingredients, and do not use if you are sensitive to any one item listed. We do NOT take responsibility for any skin reaction to any of our products. We ask customers to perform a skin reaction test BEFORE using our products.

If you are sensitive to fragrances and dyes, we recommend trying our "Simple Tallow Soap" which is made with NO added fragrance or colorants, yet still presents as a beautiful, naturally simple soap with a lusciously rich & smooth lather. Please be sure to carefully review the listed ingredients and do not use if you have a known sensitivity to any one of the items included. Please understand that as a hand-crafted item our inventory is limited, as it does take time to make and cure soap before it can be available for sales. Our products are NOT vegan. While all of us here at Handy Heidi's Creations, LLC are HUGE animal lovers, all of our hand-crafted soaps include tallow as a feature ingredient, which is derived from animal fat, (specifically beef.) We can assure you however, that none of our products are ever tested on animals!

Many of our hand-crafted soaps have natural elements, such as flower petals, leaves, or fruit/vegetable peel or pulp included in the recipe. As part of the soap making process, it is common for the natural color of these items to be altered to a less vibrant (and often a brown-toned) coloration. These special natural features add further depth, texture, and personality to our soaps and are listed in the ingredients on the website and directly on the product label.
